MITALAB PROMOTES SUSTAINABLE LIVING THROUGH THE “COLLECT USED BATTERIES – EXCHANGE FOR GIFTS” CAMPAIGN
With a strong commitment to sustainable development, Mitalab continuously fosters a corporate culture that embraces social responsibility and environmental stewardship. One of the key initiatives implemented in the second quarter of 2026 was the “Collect Used Batteries – Exchange for Gifts” campaign, organized at both the Ho Chi Minh City Branch Office and the Hanoi Office.

Following a series of internal awareness activities and employee engagement campaigns, the program received enthusiastic participation from Mitalabers. At the end of the campaign, approximately 3,500 used batteries had been collected and properly consolidated at designated collection points. Mitalab will transfer the entire volume of collected batteries to authorized waste treatment partners, helping prevent hazardous substances from being released into the environment.

Environmental studies have shown that used batteries contain heavy metals and toxic chemicals which, if disposed of improperly, may contaminate soil and water resources, persist in ecosystems for long periods, and pose risks to both environmental sustainability and human health. Therefore, the collection and proper treatment of used batteries not only contribute to pollution reduction but also help raise public awareness about hazardous household waste management.

For Mitalab, every battery brought to a collection point reflects an individual’s sense of responsibility toward the environment. Each battery kept out of ordinary household waste represents a meaningful step toward a greener and more sustainable lifestyle.

The “Collect Used Batteries – Exchange for Gifts” initiative is part of a broader series of internal programs designed to encourage employees to adopt positive habits, ranging from maintaining personal well-being and physical fitness to protecting the environment. In the coming years, Mitalab will continue to implement practical initiatives that support the creation of a safer, healthier, and more sustainable living environment for present and future generations.
