MITALAB BRINGS HOPE AND CARE TO ORPHANED CHILDREN AND ELDERLY PEOPLE AT SON LA SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTER
On the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1), the “Joining Hands Together” volunteer group of Minh Tam Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. embarked on a meaningful journey to the Son La Social Protection Center, bringing practical gifts and heartfelt support to orphaned children and elderly individuals living without family care.
During May 31 and June 1, 2026, the volunteer team donated 15 brand-new bicycles and nearly 130 gift packages, with a total value of VND 42 million. Beyond their material value, these gifts carried Mitalab’s compassion, care, and commitment to social responsibility toward those facing particularly difficult circumstances.
Currently, the Son La Social Protection Center provides care and support for 209 beneficiaries, including 118 orphaned children with exceptionally challenging backgrounds. Many of these children continue to face significant emotional and financial hardships, while numerous elderly residents spend their later years without the companionship and support of family members.
With the support and coordination of the leadership of Son La General Hospital, healthcare professionals organized free medical examinations and medication distribution for both orphaned children and elderly residents at the center. This collaborative effort created a meaningful humanitarian initiative, reflecting a shared commitment to compassion, community service, and social responsibility.
Among the donated gifts, the 15 bicycles held particularly special significance. For many children, a bicycle is more than simply a means of transportation – it is a companion on their educational journey. These bicycles will help shorten the distance to school, ease the challenges of traveling in difficult weather conditions, and provide additional motivation for the children to pursue their dreams and aspirations with greater confidence. Witnessing the bright smiles of the children and the heartfelt appreciation of the elderly residents deeply moved every member of the volunteer team. These moments served as a powerful reminder of the true value of giving and the positive impact that compassion can create within the community.
