MITALAB ACCOMPANIES TRAINING PROGRAM ON TWO TECHNIQUES: MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS IDENTIFICATION & RMP-RESISTANT XPERT, AND EXTENSIVELY DRUG-RESISTANT XPERT
In mid-October, Mitalab cooperated with the National Lung Hospital and the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) to organize an intensive training course titled: “Mycobacterium tuberculosis Identification & RMP-Resistant Xpert, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis Identification & Extremely Drug-Resistant Xpert.”
The training was held in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the participation of numerous doctors and healthcare professionals from major hospitals nationwide.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Bình Hòa – Deputy Director of the National Lung Hospital – emphasized: “Keeping up-to-date with and applying advanced tuberculosis diagnostic technologies is a critical mission, enabling earlier detection and seizing the ‘golden window’ for timely and effective treatment.”
Throughout the course, participants were equipped with in-depth knowledge of microbiological diagnostics for tuberculosis, practical guidance on utilizing the GeneXpert system, laboratory practices, and strategies to strengthen the capacity of TB diagnostic networks across the country – all delivered with clear, practical instruction by expert trainers.
The program concluded with highly positive feedback from attendees, affirming its significant value in enhancing diagnostic capabilities and advancing Vietnam’s goal of eliminating tuberculosis by 2035.
Mitalab extends its sincere appreciation to the National Lung Hospital, the National Tuberculosis Program, and all medical experts and healthcare professionals for their partnership and dedication in delivering a professional, impactful, and meaningful training program.
In the coming time, Mitalab will continue to drive forward specialized training initiatives and promote the adoption of advanced laboratory technologies – joining hands for a tuberculosis-free Vietnam.
